Frequently Asked Questions

What can I expect at my first appointment?

The goal of your first appointment is to gather as much data as possible about your past and current health status. With your health goals in mind, Dr. Jenna starts with a comprehensive consultation and ends with a neurostructural examination which will include some or all of these tests:

  • Digital postural analysis
  • Advanced muscle palpation and segmental spinal movement
  • Digital x-rays (if indicated)
  • Primitive reflex analysis
  • Thermography
  • Surface electromyography
  • Heart rate variability
How much will my chiropractic care cost?

Your first appointment is $160. This includes your consultation, neurostructural examination, review of results and first adjustment.

Subsequent checkup and adjustments are $50 for both adults and children. However, until your first appointment has been completed, we aren’t able to estimate what your total investment will be since frequency and schedule recommendations will vary.

How many appointments do I need before seeing results?

The short answer is, we don’t know.

The frequency and number of visits initially recommended can vary greatly. Factors that will impact your initial recommendations and healing timeline include:

  • Your specific health problem
  • How long your spinal damage has been there
  • The extent of the damage
  • Your specific goals

Dr. Jenna will be more equipped to answer this question after a consultation and neurostructural examination is completed.

Once I start seeing a Chiropractor do I need to go forever?

No.

At Lifeworks Studio we don’t lock you into a contract. Meaning, you decide when your care begins and ends.

Once you complete your consultation and neurostructural examination Dr. Jenna will explain your test results and review your individualized plan to start the correction process. As you advance through your care schedule Dr. Jenna monitors your progress at regular intervals, allowing you to make choices about your care going forward which are based on your goals and expectations at that time.

Most patients choose to protect the investment they’ve made in their health and do continue with ongoing Chiropractic care, but ultimately that choice is always yours.

Does an adjustment hurt?

Your comfort is a vital part of the healing process.

Dr. Jenna’s approach leverages gentle manual spinal adjustments, comfortable and adjustable tables and hand-held adjusting instruments (Activator, Arthrostim, Impulse Adjuster.)

Many patients report immediate relief after an adjustment, especially if there has been long-standing dysfunction in your spine and an accumulation of stress.

Is it safe for me to see a chiropractor during pregnancy?

Yes.

Dr. Jenna is trained to assess pregnancy related problems and utilizes prenatal specific techniques to ensure you receive a comfortable, safe and effective approach.

She utilizes an adjustable table, hand-held adjusting instruments (Activator, Arthrostim, Impulse Adjuster) and pregnancy pillows that allow you to lay on your growing belly comfortably throughout all stages of pregnancy.

Is it safe for my baby or child to see a chiropractor?

Absolutely.

In fact, many neuromusculoskeletal problems begin in the early stages of life as children are rapidly developing their neurological and motor programming. Early assessment allows proactive identification of potential issues, preventing more serious developmental complications from unfolding as your child grows.

Dr. Jenna is trained to perform a neurostructural examination at any age, which includes tests, techniques and approaches specific and age-appropriate to your child.
